Four Signs Your Home May Be Worth Reviewing
These are the patterns we see most often in Atlantic County homes that turn out to be good candidates. They are not program eligibility criteria — eligibility is confirmed with your utility after a review.
Check any of these:
- 1 Your heating or cooling system is more than 10 years old. Older equipment is often a starting point for a whole-home scope, and the assessment will identify what your home actually needs.
- 2 Some rooms never get comfortable. The upstairs bedroom that won’t cool in August. The room over the garage. Drafts you can feel in January.
- 3 Your electric or gas bill jumped and you can’t explain why.
- 4 You can see the attic joists through the insulation, or you have none at the rim joist.

3. We submit your application
Your Technical Advisor completes the funding and on-bill repayment application with you, and Ideal Builders submits it on your behalf. You don’t chase the utility. We do.
4. Approved and installed
Once the utility approves, we coordinate your installation date. Most eligible homeowners pay nothing upfront.
5. Certified
You receive your Home Energy Score, Pearl Certification, manufacturer warranties and equipment registration. Pearl Certification documents your upgrades for a future appraisal or sale.

The honest limitations: not every home qualifies, incentive amounts depend on modeled savings so not everyone gets the maximum, and the on-bill repayment requires credit qualification. The assessment tells you exactly where you land before you commit to anything.

Assessment to results meeting is usually within a week. Utility approval typically takes a few weeks. Installation depends on scope and scheduling. Start to finish, plan on roughly 6 to 12 weeks — which is why booking before November matters if you want to finish inside the 2026 cycle.
No. You choose the scope. Some homeowners do insulation and air sealing only. The energy model will show you what each option is worth.
Enhanced incentive pathways exist for income-qualified households, and on-bill repayment is designed so the monthly payment is offset by monthly savings. Tell us during the booking call and we’ll check which pathway applies.

No. South Jersey Gas offers 0% APR on-bill repayment, which appears on your gas bill. Atlantic City Electric customers apply for 0% fixed monthly financing through NEIF, which is a separate installment loan. Both range from $2,500 to $25,000 and both require credit approval.
